About Goofy Paw Parade

Goofy Paw Parade is committed to providing exceptional pet care services that keep your furry friends healthy, happy, and safe. Our mission is to provide personalized services and to meet the unique needs of your pets. Inspired by Goofy, the resilient Doberman adopted from Bella and Sunshine Rescue in October 2022, Goofy Paw Parade is more than just a pet service. Goofy faced behavioral challenges, including anxiety and leash reactivity, prompting Alejandra to embark on a training journey with him.

Recognizing the lack of personalized training options for Goofy's unique needs, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Six months of dedicated training transformed Goofy into a well-behaved companion—off-leash, mastering basic commands, and overcoming leash pulling.

​Goofy Paw Parade is born from this experience, understanding the struggle of finding dog walkers and trainers capable of handling 70 lb. + dogs. Tailored for those often misjudged by size and breed, we're here to ensure every dog's unique needs are met on their journey to becoming happy and well-behaved companions.

With over 15 years of invaluable pet experience, Alejandra's journey has been shaped by a diverse array of animal companions, from dogs, cats, birds, and lizards to even a monkey during her time abroad. Her passion for animals led her to volunteer in Granada, Nicaragua, supporting local veterinarians in spaying/neutering stray animals.

 Alejandra received her MBA from UC Irvine which supported her passion in creating this small business. She volunteers for Amazing Dogs Rescue and Pasadena Humane Society on her free time. Additionally, she is the dog trainer at Heavenly Pet Resort in West Covina.

During her undergraduate years, Alejandra rescued an 8-year-old orange tabby from euthanasia. Despite being diagnosed with kidney disease and given a limited prognosis, with proper care and love, Tigger enjoyed a remarkable 10 years before peacefully passing away in February 2022.

Though the grief of losing a beloved pet is enduring, Alejandra opened her heart to Goofy in October 2022. Goofy, a 3-year-old, 95 lb. Red European Doberman, found his forever home through the efforts of the Bella and Sunshine Rescue organization. Alejandra's dedication to Goofy extends beyond companionship; she has undertaken training in basic commands, recall, off-leash activities, crate training, and identified the need for anxiety medication. Her extensive experience includes pet sitting, dog walking, and training.
